Know Your Rights

Through the Know Your Rights project, CNIB has developed plain language legal information and resources (fact sheets, videos, training, etc.) to empower people who are  blind, Deafblind, or have low vision to better understand their rights, navigate provincial legal systems and self-advocate to challenge discrimination. 

Know Your Rights is available in eight provinces including AlbertaSaskatchewanManitobaOntarioQuebecNew BrunswickPrince Edward IslandNova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador. CNIB continues to seek opportunities to advance this vital work in other provinces and territories

Know Your Rights – Nova Scotia Resource Hub

For the Know Your Rights – Nova Scotia project, we developed a new interactive website that features different real-life scenarios with related questions and answers tailored to nine different topic areas.
