The Ottawa Fringe Undercurrents Festival is a vibrant celebration of innovative and boundary-pushing performing arts that features a mix of local and national artists.
This year, the festival is presenting a new piece of work called Blindside. Created and performed by Stéphanie Morin-Robert, Blindside is a comedy about resilience, empathy, and self-acceptance where Stéphanie recounts her life as a feisty 7-year-old who wields her glass-eye as a weapon. With the help of her cat, a pair of sunglasses, and an undesirable superpower, she soon discovers that she has what it takes to face her tormenting bullies at her new school.
Blindside plays at the Undercurrents Festival on Saturday, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Arts Court Theatre, 2 Daly Ave., Ottawa. Tickets for the festival are $10 and can be purchased at ottawafringe.com/undercurrents
