Event Background: While searching for a way to help his daughter, Rachel, participate independently in an Easter egg hunt, David Hyche reached out to the Blind Children's Center in Los Angeles about their Easter eggs that emit audible electronic beeps. With help from the center, he constructed 40 eggs and hosted an accessible Easter egg hunt in 2005. Since then, David’s small initiative grew into what is now known as ‘The Rachel Project’ with accessible Easter egg hunts being offered throughout North America.
