Join us Wednesday, September 4 as we talk about typing! Amazing as modern computers, phones, and tablets are, they’re not much use if you don’t have a way to communicate with them. The keyboard was one of the first ways we came up with to send messages to computers, and is still the most powerful one. We’ll be discussing the history of the keyboard (and its predecessor, the typewriter), what you can do with one, and how to learn your keyboard’s layout. If you’d rather give your fingers a break, we’ll also be discussing voice dictation, where all you have to do is say what you want to type!
Episode 16 of the Digital Treasure Chest meets on Wednesday, September 4 from 1 t o 2 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Zoom. Zoom information will be shared after registering.
