CNIB is hitting the road to bring our innovative programs to life in your community! Meet the CNIB Mobile Hub – a new program delivery model where we visit your community to deliver in-person programming at no cost to you.

We’d love for you to join us when we visit Kenora on Monday, October 21 at the New Horizons Seniors Centre (18 Mike Richards Way, Kenora) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

Drop in to meet CNIB staff and learn more about free programs and resources for people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision. Experience the latest breakthroughs in assistive tech from CNIB SmartLife and connect with other members of the sight loss community. 

Below, you will find a copy of the program schedule. While registering for the Mobile Hub is strongly encouraged, walk-ins are also welcome. To register, please complete the CNIB Auto Registration Form or call 1-800-563-2642.

CNIB Mobile Hub – Kenora schedule

  • 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. CNIB Info. Table Open
  • 12 – 1 p.m. Lunch and CNIB Presentation. Note: participants MUST register for lunch with the New Horizons Centre Centre by calling 807-468-5947 or 807-468-8221.
  • 1 – 2 p.m. CNIB SmartLife Info. Table. Accessible products are available to test and purchase by debit or credit (no cash). View the accessible product catalogue to browse the most popular items from CNIB SmartLife’s wide range of helpful consumer products. Exploring Meditation and Mindfulness Attitudes
In a caring and supportive virtual environment with peers, participants will explore meditation, and mindfulness attitudes. Through group interaction, participants will develop and share insights, and learn how practice can help with managing life's challenges. This is a 10-week introductory program hosted on Zoom, and is not a drop in format.

Accessible Yoga
Accessible yoga for most skill levels from the comfort of your home. Check out accessible yoga if you are looking for a classic yoga class with descriptive prompts. Designed for people with vision loss, the instructor will verbally walk you through all the poses and movements. Please bring a yoga mat, a bottle of water, and your breath! Accessible Yoga meets every Monday from  5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Zoom.
