CNIB is hitting the road to bring our innovative programs to life in your community! Meet the CNIB Mobile Hub – a new program delivery model where we visit your community to deliver in-person programming at no cost to you.

We’d love for you to join us when we visit Cranbrook on Monday, October 7 at the Cranbrook Public Library (1212 2nd Sreet North, Cranbrook) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Drop in to meet CNIB staff and learn more about free programs and resources for people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision. Enjoy a day of recreational and social activities, technology workshops, and much more. Experience the latest breakthroughs in assistive tech from CNIB SmartLife and connect with other members of the sight loss community. Our free programs are designed to educate, entertain, and engage community members who are blind, as well as their families, friends, and caregivers. 

Below, you will find a copy of the program schedule. While registering for the Mobile Hub is strongly encouraged, walk-ins are also welcome. To register, please complete the CNIB Auto Registration Form or call 1-800-563-2642.

CNIB Mobile Hub – Cranbrook schedule 

  • 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  CNIB SmartLife: Accessible products are available to test and purchase by debit or credit (no cash). View the accessible product catalogue to browse the most popular items from CNIB SmartLife’s wide range of helpful consumer products. Want to try before you buy? Ask about the SmartLife Tech @ Home program.
  • 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Welcome Session
  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Intro to Assistive Technology Workshop: The CNIB Tech team will demonstrate the benefits of using assistive technology for work, school and play. Learn new tools and tricks to add to your toolkit!
  • 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Light Refreshments
  • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Peet Support: Join us for a session of Peer Support and connect with other members of your community and talk about topics close to your heart, as a person living with vision loss.
  • 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Light Refreshments & Social
