We’re revamping some of the content included in the Guide Dog Gazette, and we want you to be a part of it! We're looking for new contributors to help make the Guide Dog Gazette more community focused.
Share your voice and perspectives by becoming a contributor! We invite you to submit content that fits into the following categories:
- Compelling personal stories, observations, commentaries, and chronicles about your experiences with your CNIB Guide Dog, Buddy Dog, Ambassador Dog, or puppy in training. Maybe you have a funny anecdote or new travel tale you'd like to share – or perhaps you've written a poem about your dog. We're open to ideas!
- We also want to hear from the friends and family members of individuals who have been matched with guide dogs, buddy dogs, ambassador dogs or are raising a puppy in training.
- Resources for guide dog handlers, including practical advice and tips.
- Advocacy updates or initiatives.
- General news items, announcements, etc.
Submission guidelines:
- Content should include a title and be submitted in Word format.
- Content should include the contributor's name, contact information and your title and affiliation, where applicable.
- Where possible, photos should be included with your submission with accompanying alt-text. Please do not embed images in a Word document. Add them as attachments instead.
- Content should be conversational and 250-400 words.
- CNIB reserves the right to edit content for clarity, and brevity, where necessary.
How to submit:
- Contributors should email their submissions to gdgazette@cnib.ca. Questions should be directed to the same email address.
- While we welcome and appreciate all contributions, not all submissions will be published. We may also use submitted content in future issues of the Guide Dog Gazette.
