The Digital Treasure Chest is a new virtual program that will explore, examine, and highlight some of the best accessible technologies for people living with sight loss across Canada. It's a place for exploring, discovering, and sharing innovative tech solutions for your accessible technology needs. Find out about new apps, uncommon keyboard shortcuts, customized software solutions, and unique answers to everyday tech questions!

Join us Wednesday, September 18 as we talk about wearable technology. Believe it or not, the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses aren’t a new concept! There have been head-mounted camera devices for years, and many of them are specifically designed for our community. Consider products like the Envision Glasses, the OrCam MyEye, or the ARx AI – all go on your head at eye level, and all send information to Ais to help with tasks like navigation, reading, and identification. What’s so special about these machines? What’s the difference between them? How well do they work? Are they worth getting? These are the questions that we’re answering on the Digital Treasure Chest this week!

Episode 17 of the Digital Treasure Chest meets on Wednesday, September 18 from 1 t o 2 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Zoom.  Zoom information will be shared after registering.

Please be advised that you must register for all programs. We kindly ask you to RSVP a minimum of 1 full business day before the start of the program.

Registration required. To register, please complete the CNIB Auto Registration Form.

Have you used a wearable device? How did you like it? Get in touch with us at tsf.tech@cnib.ca and we’ll highlight your experiences during our session!
