The Birks Family Foundation has generously sponsored two future guide dogs that will provide mobility, safety, and confidence to two Canadians with sight loss, while also increasing their handlers' independence and sense of connection with the world.

The Government of Canada partners with CNIB on a number of strategic initiatives related to accessibility, advocacy, employment, research, and technology for Canadians impacted by blindness.

 

Joyce Family Foundation logo The Joyce Family Foundation generously established the Joyce Family Foundation Bursary Program Fund with an endowment that will support renewable bursaries for students studying in Canada in undergraduate studies who are impacted by blindness and also face financial barriers to post-secondary education.

 

The McConnell Foundation

The McConnell Foundation is a lead funder of the Accessible Communities Project, a national engagement strategy led by CNIB to raise awareness about the importance of creating accessible and inclusive communities and to provide businesses, community organizations, and municipalities with the knowledge and tools to make services more inclusive.

The Arthur & Audrey Cutten Foundation is generously supporting the Accessible Education & Inclusive Schools project. This program empowers educators and students to foster inclusion for people who are blind and low vision. Through free, thoughtfully designed educational resources, this program increases understanding of blindness, emphasizes the importance of accessible and inclusive schools, and equips communities to better support individuals who are blind or low vision.
