Launched in 2020, CNIB SmartLife is an interactive retail experience that gives people with disabilities hands-on access to the latest breakthroughs in assistive technologies, as well as tried-and-true favourites. The number one goal of CNIB SmartLife isn't necessarily to sell products (although all proceeds go right back into CNIB programs and services); it's to give customers the skills and confidence they need to make the most out of assistive tools that can help them lead better lives.
Through an accessible webstore, customers can browse hundreds of assistive and accessible products and technologies – from simple magnifiers to the latest smart technologies.
They can also try those products and technologies out in one of CNIB SmartLife’s retail locations across Canada. There, customers can explore products hands-on, ask questions, book time with CNIB SmartLife’s expert “Coaches”, sign up for workshops, or attend an in-store demonstration.
As part of the CNIB community, it makes perfect sense for CNIB SmartLife to be among the first to join CNIB Connects. The SmartLife team is proud to offer CNIB Connects members 10 per cent off on almost all products, excluding a few exceptions. And as always, customers are encouraged to come in to “try before you buy”, ask questions, and find out what works best for their unique needs and goals.
