This program is designed for individuals at Riverside Terrace who are blind or partially sighted to connect with others who are experiencing similar circumstances and to participate in social gatherings. This monthly Peer Support Program also provides the opportunity for participants to learn from guest speakers about a variety of relevant topics, such as: products for independence, personal safety in your home and community, healthy eating, resources for book lovers, public transportation, staying connected with assistive technology, accessible voting, etc. Our Peer Support Volunteers take a leading role coordinating and facilitating this program.
The Riverside Terrace Peer Support Group meets on the first Thursday of every month from 10 to 11 a.m. at Riverside Terrace.
