Lace up your shoes and put on your spooky costumes Join our three week Halloween step challenge, no matter where you live! It’s fun, it’s simple and you could have a chance at winning you’re very own Fitbit activity tracker!

Here's how to participate:

  • Decide how you're going to track your steps. Whether it is with an Apple Watch, a Fitbit, a steps app on your phone, a talking pedometer, or even manually. If you don't have technology to use, then we will give you credit for 1,000 steps of every 10 minutes of brisk walking!
  • Keep track of total steps walked between October 10 and Halloween on October 31. Record your steps every day and keep track of your totals over the three weeks. Whether you use a note on your phone, a piece of paper and a sharpie marker, braille, a whiteboard on your fridge, the Apple health on your phone, etc.
  • On November 1, share your total steps! Bonus thumbs up to those who share photos of themselves out on Halloween in their costumes, getting their steps… and their candy!
  • Bonus tip! In the weeks leading up to Halloween while you were trying to get your steps in, perhaps you and your family can go for walks in the evening to check out all the spooky Halloween decorations in your neighbourhood, as that’s a great way to collect steps and check out all the cool and spooky sites in your community.

You have until November 3 to submit your steps and your photos, to be entered into a draw to when you’re very own Fitbit. Honesty is important! This is not a competition who gets the most steps, as that is a competition with yourself. Everyone who submits their step totals will be entered for a chance to win a Fitbit.
