This remarkable contribution empowers CNIB to advance inclusive education for students across Ontario and foster environments where children who are blind or have low vision feel valued and represented.

The CNIB Inclusive Schools program equips educators and students with free, accessible educational resources designed to increase understanding of blindness, dismantle barriers, and build more inclusive school communities. These resources, crafted by CNIB advocacy specialists in collaboration with parents and teachers of students who are blind and have low vision, include lesson plans, classroom signage, accessible library books, and professional development tools for educators.

Thanks to The Arthur & Audrey Cutten Foundation’s support, we’re one step closer to distributing these comprehensive toolkits to all 72 Ontario school boards. The program also includes free webinars and in-person presentations, reaching more than 3,500 participants and creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue about accessibility and inclusion.

CNIB President and CEO Angela Bonfanti expressed her gratitude for this significant gift: “Exceptional generosity like this drives real change. By supporting the next generation of children who are blind or have low vision, The Arthur & Audrey Cutten Foundation is helping to build a future where every student can reach their full potential.”

We thank The Arthur & Audrey Cutten Foundation for their commitment to inspiring change in classrooms – and creating brighter futures for children who are blind or have low vision across Ontario!
