Hey Toronto! We're excited to invite you to the CNIB Repair Café, in partnership with Repair Café Toronto and Canadian Council of the Blind, Toronto Visionaries Chapter! Join us for a day of community, accessibility, and sustainability as we come together to fix, mend, and rejuvenate our beloved items.
At the CNIB Repair Café, the skilled fixers will be on hand to repair a variety of items, with a special focus on The primary focus on repairing accessibility devices such as Perkins braillers, white canes, electronic magnifiers, talking and braille watches, and sewing-related repairs.
The Repair Café Toronto meets on the third Saturday of every month (or the second Saturday of the month if conflicting with other events) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CNIB GTA Community Hub.
We encourage people to RSVP in advance to secure priority for repairs, although walk-ins are also welcome. While the event is primarily for people who are blind or have low vision, we may accommodate individuals outside of the community based on availability and foot traffic.
Wheel Trans users: Please keep in mind that Wheel Trans does not accept large item or bulk items on their vehicles.
