Know Your Rights - Nova Scotia

Know Your Rights – Nova Scotia is designed to empower Nova Scotians who are blind, low vision or Deafblind to better understand their rights, navigate the Nova Scotia legal system and self-advocate to challenge discrimination.
Know Your Rights – Nova Scotia is based on the Ontario pilot project developed in 2019 and funded by The Law Foundation of Ontario. While based upon the Ontario pilot, care has been taken to ensure that the information within this project is specific to Nova Scotians who are blind, low vision or Deafblind.

Know Your Rights has created legal information handbooks for topics and scenarios that are commonly asked. Each topic has its own page with a PDF copy of the handbook to download, or you can browse through all of the scenarios on the web.
