Say no to e-scooters in Toronto

Contenu principal

The City of Toronto is considering a pilot project to introduce e-scooters to the streets of Toronto. Given the accessibility and safety risks that e-scooters could pose to pedestrians with sight loss, CNIB recommends against introducing e-scooters to Toronto's already busy roads.

We have been working with a coalition of community organizations advocating against the introduction of e-scooters in Toronto, but we need your help.

Speak up for safety – join the letter writing campaign.

We’re asking you to tell Mayor John Tory, the Infrastructure & Environment Committee and your local councillor that e-scooters pose a safety and accessibility risk for people with disabilities and to say no to this pilot project.

Please take two minutes to add your voice to this letter writing campaign.

We will continue to monitor this issue and work with community organizations to advocate for safe and accessible communities.
