Position Description

To assist in the planning and implementation of fun and dynamic programs for children and youth, changing what it means to be blind today. Responsibilities:

  • Assist program lead to plan and organize fun, interactive activities and events for children with sight loss and their families
  • Assist with shopping for necessary program materials/resources
  • Encourage participants to interact and socialize during group events
  • On the day of the event, assist with room setup, refreshments and other resources, as well as help with clean-up after the activities
  • Track participant attendance
  • Complete reminder and follow-up phone calls to participants
  • Track volunteer hours
