Join us for this introductory session on photography to learn how technology can help people who are blind or low vision with taking pictures and working with digital photo albums. We will explore a variety of cameras with built-in accessibility considerations. After this session, you will be able to incorporate adaptive techniques to capture quality images, use accessible technology to manage photos, and utilize artificial intelligence and other supports to identify and enjoy your photo memories! Wednesday, May 8 from 1 t o 2:30 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Zoom.

Introduction to Assistive Technology – May 14

Like it or not, technology is becoming a big part of modern life. Nowadays, people rely on computers and smartphones for work, school, entertainment, and connection. For people with vision loss, assistive technology offers all of this as well as a great deal of independence. Join us over Zoom for Intro to Assistive Technology to get a chance to see what is possible and how we at CNIB can help you learn how to harness the power of assistive technology. This lunch hour session is offered on Zoom, Tuesday, May 14th from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

Youth Job Club

Start your journey seeking a part-time or summer job with CNIB Learning Academy’s Youth Job Club!  There is no time like the present to begin your work experiences. Having a part-time or summer job will put some money in your pocket, and you give valuable skills that employers are looking for. Facilitated by staff with sight loss, this five-session program will give participants an edge in looking for your first summer or part-time job. Virtual sessions are hosted on Zoom every Tuesday (May 14 to June 18) from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
