CNIB Lake Joe: Active Adult Week (July 8-13, ages 19+)

Our Active Adult Week is your chance to pump up your heart, your muscles and your pride!

CNIB Lake Joe: Summer Camp/ESL Immersion (ages 8-18)

Summer Camp is full of fun favourites from the past with exciting new programs to try for the first time! Francophone guests will be joining to practice their English skills. Oh la la!

CNIB Lake Joe: Adult Leisure (July 22-27, ages 19+)

Escape and spend a week on the shores of beautiful Lake Joseph in Muskoka and soak in the sun while getting lots of rest and relaxation.

Fridays are fun! Meet us in "the lounge" the fourth Friday of the month to relax, meet friends and make connections!  Zoom information will be provided after registering.

CNIB Lake Joe: Counsellor-in-Training (ages 16-19)

Mix work and play while building your resume and learning essential leadership skills in this extended 2-week program!

Weave together leisure and leadership in what’s going to be the best CLDP program yet!

Junior Explorers (grades 7-8)

Get the jump on high school with this unique virtual program. Participants will explore their skills and strengths, hear from successful visually impaired community members about their careers, and learn about best practices for academic success.  Participants begin to build foundations for this important transition and plant the seeds for early career recognition and exploration. Program content will be delivered in a fun and engaging style utilizing group games, challenges, and chats. Stay tuned for confirmed dates and updates to the Junior Explorers program!

CNIB Lake Joe: Family Week (August 5-10, all ages)

Family Weeks are open to guests with sight loss and everyone in their family. Activities are available for all ages with a daily kids camp and adult programs too. This week is prioritized for families with children with sight loss.

Young Achievers (grades 9-10)

Get serious about your academic and career goals with Young Achievers. This bridging program to the flagship SCORE Scholars program helps participants build fundamental analytical and goal setting skills. Early volunteer, summer and part time jobs are discussed in relationship to long term school and career aspirations. Special guest speakers who experience vision loss and are leaders in their field will provide personal stories for inspiration.Young Achievers (grades 9-10) meets weekdays (August 12-23) from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom.

Writing with Feeling Retreat 2024

Attention all Canadian youth who use or are learning braille – CNIB is now accepting applications for the annual Writing with Feeling Retreat! Whether you're a new braille user with a passion for creative writing or crafting a poem, story, or essay for the CNIB Braille Creative Writing Contest, we welcome you to join our annual Writing with Feeling retreat at CNIB Lake Joe in Muskoka, Ontario.
