Main Content

What is a gift of RRSPs or RRIFs?
Making a gift of RRSPs or RRIFs means that CNIB will be named as the beneficiary of your RRSPs or RRIFs, while you get to enjoy the benefit of your retirement savings now.

How can I make a gift of RRSPs or RRIFs to CNIB?
You’ll need to work with your lawyer or financial advisor to make a gift of RRSPs or RRIFs. We can answer questions and if you don’t have a lawyer or financial advisor, we can help you find a qualified professional in your area.
Please contact Ruth D'Souza at 1-800-563-2642 ext. 7006 or ruth.dsouza@cnib.ca.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my gift?
Since your RRSP or RRIF gift will not be received by CNIB until your death, you won’t receive a tax receipt. However, your estate will receive a tax receipt for the value of the funds given to CNIB, which will help offset other estate taxes.
