Do you have sight loss? Join us at the Saint John Free Public Library the first Thursday of the month for our regular Coffee & Chat group where you will have an opportunity to meet a group of local people who also have sight loss.
Every month we will have a new topic of conversation, guest speaker or educational opportunity. The conversation is led by participants and includes things like available resources, coping strategies, local news, accessibility, recreation and leisure ideas, and much more. This group provides participants with an opportunity to mix and mingle in an accessible environment, share ideas and resources and even make a new friend!
There is no need to register, just stop into the library during one of our regularly scheduled groups and join us. The group is open to anyone who is blind or partially sighted or to anyone interested in learning more about sight loss. Come on your own or bring a friend, everyone is welcome!
Our group doesn't stop there! Every other Thursday in the month we meet uptown for coffee, brunch or just a chat. We also have a private Facebook group for Saint John Coffee & Chat participants to connect outside of our regularly scheduled get togethers.
If you would like to participate but the date/time of this group doesn't work for you, please let us know! We would love to host other groups, activities and educational opportunities and will do so based on feedback and interest we receive, please contact us to share your ideas and suggestions!
