Microsoft: Free Online Certification Courses

Microsoft offers free online certification courses where you can learn the fundamentals of their platform (e.g. Office 365). Each certification consists of passing a series of exams to earn certification.

Come To Work Mental Health Series – Stress Management

Searching for a job can be exciting, but it also comes with unique mental health challenges, especially for those of us who are blind or partially sighted. Members of the Come to Work talent pool are invited to register for this 3-part series, where we will discuss the stresses and mental health challenges of job searching with vision loss. Session 1: Stress Management. Monday, August 9 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

Connecting the Dots Conference – English Event

Connecting the Dots is Canada's largest educational and professional development conference focused on education, technology, and employment for people who are blind or partially sighted.

How I Did It Speakers Series

In this monthly virtual meeting, a guest speaker shares their story and path to employment with fellow members of the community and job seekers from coast to coast. “How I did it” and in doing so, acts as inspiration and guidance for those walking down the path which can be so daunting for many. This group meets via Zoom web conference on the second Thursday of every month at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. Call in information will be given upon registration.
