Program Facilitator – Inclusion Support Specialist

The Program Facilitator – Inclusion Support Specialist will hold guest experience as the highest priority while providing safe recreational opportunities for guests (seniors, adults, families, children and youth) attending the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. Working with our Accessibility & Inclusion Lead this person will be the main point of contact for providing support for guests who require additional attention. They will take a leadership role in assisting with staff training, assisting with adaptive equipment and planning modified programs, when possible. They will support other areas (waterfront, boat, land programs) as needed.

Wellness Assistant

The Wellness Assistant will provide coordinated support to guests and catering company around general wellness of guests, with a specific focus on special diets, and proper hydration during program activities. In general, the Wellness Assistant will support the Wellness Coordinator with the assistance of daily living needs to campers/guests. The primary responsibilities of the Wellness Team are to support our guests in their daily care, hydration, first-aid, safety and daily living at Lake Joe. When the schedule allows, there can also be opportunity to assist with program facilitation.

Program Facilitator - Driver

The Program Facilitator – Driver will hold guest experience as the highest priority while providing safe recreational opportunities for guests (seniors, adults, families, children and youth) attending the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. This is accomplished through creative planning, energetic facilitation and excellent interpersonal skills. The Program Facilitator – Driver position supports all the Lake Joe programs (land, water, off-site) with the additional responsibility of taking on driver (boat, vehicle) functions. Drivers are responsible for ensuring safe, inclusive and fun experiences for all guests and take on a leadership role in the facilitation of off-site activities.

Guest Experience and Office Coordinator

Working with the Guest Services Manager, the Guest Experience and Office Coordinator will support the business administration of the camp office which includes but is not limited to: guest and staff communication; registration support; financial tracking; and general office administration with a strong focus on the delivery of the best guest experience. This position works with the management team to build upon and maintain the highest service standards in all communication prior to, during and post visit. This person will aid with the full-cycle of handing of guest enquiries, complaints and feedback.

Program Facilitator – Art Specialist

The Program Facilitator – Art Specialist will hold guest experience as the highest priority while providing safe recreational opportunities for guests (seniors, adults, families, children and youth) attending the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. This is accomplished through creative planning, energetic facilitation and excellent interpersonal skills. This person will be the main point of contact for developing and enhancing our art programs. They will take a leadership role in training staff and scheduling Lake Joe's art programs. The Art Specialist will be comfortable working with and teaching different mediums with a focus on accessibility. Experience teaching pottery as well as the ability to lead music and/or drama programs is also an asset. They will support other areas (waterfront, boat, land programs) as needed.

Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator will ensure the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre guest experience is best executed. This position works with the management team to build upon and maintain the highest level guest and staff experience. This person will provide assistance with the coordination, supervision and facilitation of guest programming, staff and volunteer training, staff and volunteer functions, guest complaints and experience, and ensuring the overall best experience for the guests, staff and volunteers at Lake Joe.

Property Assistant

Reporting to the Facility Operator the Property Assistant will assist with the property needs of CNIB Lake Joseph Centre with a strong focus on providing the best guest experience. As a member of the facility team, responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: landscaping; property and equipment maintenance; building maintenance and cleaning; and assisting with property projects as required.

Lead, Waterfront

The Lead, Waterfront will provide support to the planning, supervising and facilitation of all waterfront programs available to guests at the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre with a focus on the best guest experience. This position is responsible for taking a supportive leadership role with staff and volunteers to ensure that guests are provided with exceptional care and attention while participating in programming both on and off Lake Joe property.

Wellness Coordinator

With exceptional guest safety and experience at the forefront, the Wellness Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Manager, Wellness Assistant and contracted catering company to provide care to all guests, with a focus on overall wellness, including special diets. The Wellness Coordinator will work with the Wellness Assistant to ensure smooth running of the Wellness Centre. They will be responsible for healthcare related matters which include, but is not limited to guest wellness (hydration, sun safety), first-aid and/or emergency medical response, maintaining of medical records and notes, as well as provide support with daily living needs.

Lead, Special Programs and Leadership

The Lead, Special Programs and Leadership will lead and support the planning and facilitation of all special programming as well as take a supportive leadership role with staff and volunteers at the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. This includes special events (e.g. Carnival, Casino Night, theme days, etc.) as well as supporting the land functions and staff of the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre (campfires, arts and crafts, tandem biking etc.). The Lead, Special Programs and Leadership will also be responsible for the further development, execution and evaluation of Lake Joe's leadership programs (LIT, CIT, WILD). This position takes an active role in other programming as assigned. The Lead, Special Programs and Leadership is responsible for supporting staff and volunteers to ensure that guests receive exceptional care and attention while participating in programming both on and off Lake Joe property.
