Every August, CNIB runs a Summer Family Camp at the Lions Max Simms Camp in Bishop Falls. It's the only fully accessible camp in the province. It's also a place where kids with sight loss interact with other kids and their siblings. While learning to maintain skills that are developed throughout the school year, they have fun learning about new activities. Camp activities include; campfires, arts and crafts, swimming, boating, archery, and Zumba. Applications are sent each year to parents of children who have sight loss and are under the age 18. If you would like to learn more about this camp email Kimberlie.Hart@cnib.ca or call 709-754-1180 ext. 5803.
