Unlock the Power of Accessibility by embarking on a journey through the essential aspects of Windows navigation using JAWS (Job Access With Speech). Whether you're new to JAWS or looking to refine your skills, this series is designed to empower you to navigate Windows confidently.

This series is available online, but if you’re in Toronto you can join us at our GTA Community Hub to participate in-person. We will be adding additional in-person opportunities across Canada in the fall Session.

Prerequisites

Although everyone is welcome to attend, in order to maximize the benefit from this series, it is important to be able to participate in the hands-on portion which requires you to complete exercises provided by our team.

In order to participate in the hands-on portion, the following is required:

  • You are able to orient yourself on your keyboard independently.
  • You have a computer running Windows 10 or 11 with an Internet connection.
  • You have JAWS demo or activated version installed and configured on your computer.
  • If you plan to attend the Word, Outlook, and Excel sessions, it is essential to have them installed and configured on your computer prior to these sessions. If you’re planning to attend in person, be sure to bring your laptop with you!

Gain practical skills that enhance your productivity and independence in using Windows with JAWS. Each session will be interactive, ensuring you have hands-on experience and expert guidance throughout.
