According to the Section 16, Quebec’s Charter: "No one may practise discrimination in respect of the hiring, apprenticeship, duration of the probationary period, vocational training, promotion, transfer, displacement, laying off, suspension, dismissal or conditions of employment of a person or in the establishment of categories or classes of employment."

If you are discriminated against in your job or in a job interview because of your visual limitation, it is illegal. When faced with this situation, stand up for your rights to have them respected

The Employment Guide provides tools to help you better defend your rights by offering possible remedies in this context, laws to rely on to defend your rights, and examples to enlighten you on what a discriminatory employment situation might look like. The General resources guide may also be useful to you.

Together, enforce the rights of blind people!
