National Youth Council leadership award

Main Content

The National Youth Council believes in recognizing youth with sight loss. That's why it created the Leadership Award to celebrate people going above and beyond to make a difference in their community, province or country.

One winner is selected yearly and presented with a plaque and $250 prize during one of CNIB’s annual general meetings. Their accomplishments are also shared across CNIB's national social media channels. Travel, accommodation and meals are covered for the recipient and guest, if the recipient is a minor.

Eligibility and application

You must be a CNIB client between the ages of 15 and 30 who is making a difference in your community, province or country.

You’ll need to complete the CNIB National Youth Council Leadership Award Application Form, write a personal statement, and obtain two letters of reference.

Applications for the next Leadership Award open in March 2019.
