Join Bernard Akuoko, Program Lead of Advocacy, Accessibility and Community Engagement to learn the basics of self-advocacy. In this two-hour interactive presentation, Bernard will provide basic tools and strategies that you can apply to different situations such as housing, customer service and several aspects of daily living. Using scenarios, Bernard will rundown appropriate means to addressing issues tending towards advocacy. Music Therapist, Emily Brown, will be hosting a weekly call-in session where we will practice the art of mindfulness through the practice of music. In the “I Need to Tell you Something" Disclosure series, join Ben Akuoko, Kate Riccomini and Christopher Gordon as they provide weekly one-hour informative sessions with various topics in the areas of disclosure concerning family, relationships, friends, customer service, employment and general public interaction. This is a program for guide dog handlers and prospective guide dog handlers to come together and support each other in being a handler.
