Soundscape enables you to set audio beacons at familiar destinations and landmarks, and then use 3D audio cues to improve your ambient awareness as you make your way to the destination. As you walk, Soundscape will help you stay aware of where you are by calling out roads and landmarks as you pass them. Join us for a technology workshop all about Microsoft Soundscape on Thursday, August 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. at CNIB Calgary.

This is a support group for those living with vision loss. The topics of discussion are chosen by the group and dependent on the things that they are finding challenging or that they need more information on. The Weyburn Peer Support Group meets on the second Thursday of every month from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Weyburn Public Library.

Leadership, Independence, Future readiness, and Empowerment are all important skills for youth and young adults. Join peers to learn and build on these skills, amongst others and apply them directly into practical settings to ease the pressure of growing up. This program is suitable for individuals with sight loss ages 14 – 21 years old. Second Thursday of every month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at CNIB Calgary.

The in-person Friday Coffee Group is back! Rekindle old friendships while making new ones, meet new people and have enjoyable conversations. This group offers a safe, positive social network for those that are blind or partially sighted.
