Making physical contact with the pole and the inconsistency of pole placements can render pedestrian push-buttons or even Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) inaccessible especially during our harsh Canadian winters. Key2Access makes crossing intersections safer and easier for people with sight loss, by taking the button on the pole and putting it in the hands of those who need it most thanks to its wireless city solution (Key2Access Receiver) and its unique pedestrian devices (K2A Mobile App and K2A Fob). On Saturday, August 15, 2020, the CNIB Lake Joe Vision Team and CNIB Muskoka fundraising committee will host CNIB Muskoka: Dock to Dock in lieu of CNIB Muskoka: Back to the '80s, which was previously scheduled to take place at CNIB Lake Joe.

Our creative team is working hard to transform our CNIB Lake Joe FUNdraiser event into a virtual, ground-breaking experience. Our new nationwide conference – Connecting the Dots – is the largest trade show dedicated to adapted services and technology for people with sight loss and is an educational and professional development experience focused on braille, technology and employment. The conference is  for people with sight lost such as those who want to open them their doors and become more inclusive. In Quebec, it's a mix of our TechnoVision Fair and our Accessible neighborhood project .
