Work to find work!
It has been said if you are looking for a part-time job put in part-time job searching hours (10 to 25 hours a week), and if you are looking for a full-time job put in full-time hours (35 to 45 hours).
No matter what job search methods you are involved in it is important to record these employer network connections. Whether during a job fair, online job bank, association, memberships, in-person, cold calling, newsletters and online research or friend of a friend it is important to follow up and keep track of potential networks.
Job developers especially appreciate your job search leads and areas of interest so that they too can brainstorm and follow up with their employer networks.
Discuss how to collaborate with the employment agencies we are registered with and CNIB employer business contacts to broaden our employer networks.
