Grab your Apple device and come join us for this introductory session where we will explore the basics from turning on your device to identifying which accessibility features are best suited for you. This is part one of a four-part series of group sessions that will help guide participants through the basics of using an iPhone and iPad (as well as understanding and using the built-in accessibility features).
Each session includes 90 minutes of structured lecture delivery of material, followed by 60 minutes of individualized support.
The following topics will be covered in each session:
- Session 1 – Wednesday, September 11: Basic accessibility features available on iOS and other general information
- Session 2 – Wednesday, September 18: Advanced accessibility features for people with low vision
- Session 3 – Wednesday, October 2: Advanced accessibility features for people with total vision loss (e.g. screen reader, VoiceOver)
- Session 4 – Wednesday, October 9: Advanced Siri and Dictation features
