This new unique program is a project by CNIB, VLR and BC Blind Sports. We collectively want to support participants with the technology that they have in their hands, and to foster their independence using their technology by encouraging them to explore recreation experiences within their community.

- Participants will get a chance to learn and develop skills within the field of navigation using technology.

- Participants will learn a new or develop skills within an area of recreation

- Participants will be challenged to use their new navigation skills within a real-world exploration experience to pursue a recreational experience.

Each morning will be spent developing the skills with technology and navigation and each afternoon will be spent developing recreation skills led by BC Blind sports. The final day of the program will allow and challenge participants to independently navigate themselves to a recreational facility to participate in an activity as a collective.

This program will be led by different educational professionals as well as youth leaders from our various other summer camp programs.  This camp is for CNIB youth participants who want to develop independence through technology and their skills in recreational activities.

The camp includes/ Cost: Each participant gets a three-day experience, lunches for all three days, a Camp T- Shirt and any transportation required for activities throughout the day. This camp is completely subsidized by CNIB however we are asking for a $25.00 registration fee for the camp to reserve your spot.
