CNIB Vancouver is the main location for the camp and the location for all guardian pick-ups and drop-offs. Various out-trips to exhibits, parks and other locations provided by CNIB during the camp.  

Let’s have some summer fun! CNIB Vancouver will welcome campers of all abilities to join in for a three-day classic summer day-camp experience. We will sing songs, play games, make crafts and go on outdoor adventures in Vancouver. And of course, don’t forget about tie-dye! BC Blind sports will be working with us to provide physical activities that will be adaptive to each of our abilities. We will have fun in a non- competitive, completely supportive, challenge-by-choice based environment. This program will be led by different educational professionals as well as youth leaders from our various other summer camp programs.  This camp is for CNIB Children and Youth Participants who have Physical or cognitive needs/Diagnosis in addition to Vision loss. These could include but are not limited to; Downs syndrome, Autism, Sensory processing disorder, Developmental delay.  

The camp includes/ Cost: Each participant gets a three-day experience, lunches for all three days, a Camp T- Shirt and any transportation required for activities throughout the day. This camp is completely subsidized by CNIB however we are asking for a $25.00 registration fee for the camp to reserve your spot.  

Please note: Registration contains a behavioral and needs assessment form for guardians to complete to determine if a 1:1 support will be needed for the success and safety of the child within the program. If required, 1:1’s must be provided by the Guardian, and there will be no registration fee applied to the 1:1.

Minimum Participants Required: We require adequate numbers of participants to successfully run this program. If we do not have enough applicants sign up by no later than Saturday June 1 2019 we will have to cancel this program for 2019 with full registration refund.
