Attending a post-secondary institution can be a stressful and challenging experience for many students – regardless of vision loss. This program provides individuals who are attending (or planning on attending) a post-secondary institution with the opportunity to meet with their peers to share tips about coping in a post-secondary setting and everyday life. They are encouraged to talk about the issues they may be facing and discuss potential solutions to adapt to and overcome the barriers and challenges.
Participants will hear from guest speakers about the services that may benefit them, such as new assistive technologies or techniques for independent living. Fun social events will also be planned throughout the semester, based on the interests of the group members.
