In this monthly virtual meeting, a guest speaker shares their story and path to employment with fellow members of the community and job seekers from coast to coast.
“How I did it” and in doing so, acts as inspiration and guidance for those walking down the path which can be so daunting for many.
In April, we'll welcome Wendy Edey. Wendy has enjoyed a varied career as social worker, manager, advocate, counselling psychologist and group facilitator. She is an expert in the field of applying hope theory to practice in the helping professions. In this hour she reflects on the opportunities, mentors, skills and advantages that have enhanced her life as a working blind person. Wendy lives in Edmonton where she facilitates hope and storytelling workshops.
This group meets via Zoom web conference on the second Thursday of every month at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. Call in information will be given upon registration.
