A job is so much more than just a paycheque: it's a means to self-reliance, a source of identity and pride, and a gateway to a brighter future. If you are blind or partially sighted and feel that your technology and employability skills need a boost, the CNlB Empowerment Workshop Series will provide you with a range of opportunities that will arm you with the tools and skills to thrive in the workplace, and in your community.
Connect with others in a structured learning environment and learn how technology can enable you to work more effectively and efficiently.
With a focus on developing transferable skills, we'll cover topics ranging from: soft skills prospective employers are looking for, developing your personal brand, tools for travel and organization, strategies for securing employment, resume writing tips, and mock interviews. Plus, you'll have an opportunity to connect with cutting-edge technology and build the skills to capitalize on its potential.
This 12-week Virtual workshop series will be offered every Wednesday 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. Eastern Time from April 1, 2020, until June 24, 2020. The sessions are 1.5 hours in length.
