• Engage the community in the Phone It Forward program
• Secure locations, the administration and logistics for community Phone Drives
• Manage the recruitment, training and engagement of Volunteer Team Captains and volunteers.
• Support the Team Captains to independently run Phone It Forward Phone Drives in their community.
• Achieve specific targets, budgets, timelines and logistics
• Support the identification of local opportunities for the Phone It Forward Program
• Ensure appropriate administration of volunteer, donor and event information in the donor database and, where appropriate, supply reports and analyses to Program Lead, Phone It Forward
• Work in partnership with other operational areas, as well as the larger CNIB Foundation program staff and volunteers, to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction through enhancing program operations and marketing materials.
• Execute the Phone It Forward program development.
• Support and motivate staff and volunteers to ensure success.
• Identify community partnerships for the program
• Steward relationships with community partners, donors and volunteers.
• Achieve accurate partner, donor and volunteer information is maintained in relevant business systems and is shared with appropriate departments within the organization.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Knowledge of special events, fund raising and volunteer management.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skill.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Professional attitude and flexible.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Must exhibit an excellent aptitude for technology and have specific knowledge of accessible technology for people who are blind or partially sighted.
Experience and Education:
• Relevant post-secondary education with a minimum of 3 years experience in non-profit fundraising, or equivalent experience
• Experience in the not-for-profit and community services sectors
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Donor Management Systems.
• Experience managing and working with volunteers.
• Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
• Bilingualism an asset.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate periods of significant pressure; extended workings hours as appropriate.
• Ability to travel as required.
